The niaouli tress is a tree that can reach a height of up to 15 meters and grows wildly on the savannas and hills in New Caledonia.
Gathering & Distilling method:
This Niaouli essential oil is distilled by master craftsmen using only hand-cut branches in order to protect the natural balance of the tree and the environment.
Virtues of Niaouli essential oil:
Niaouli essential oil has been used by Melanesian people for centuries as an antiseptic and bactericide, it is currently used in aromatherapy for the same reasons which makes it the perfect accessory for modern life.
How to use it:
- use 3 or 4 drops on a handkerchief or mask to strengthen your body’s natural defence against air pollution and other miasmas
- 5 drops in an inhaler and breath deeply.
put a few drops on the oil diffuser to disinfect the air an give a fresh scent to any room.
In a bath:
blend 15 drops with a tablespoon of honey then put into the bath under hot running water for a relaxing and purifying effect.
blend 8 to 10 drops with your massage oil base and gently massage the areas to soothe muscle and joint pain.
This is a highly concentrated and volatile plant extract, although it has the reputation of being very gentle, be sure to check with a qualified aroma-therapist before using on sensitive areas (around eyes or mucous areas), young children or while pregnant.
